A path of healing
Reiki is a spiritual practice, a way of being, and a path of healing. It can be experienced as a direct encounter with love. In both simple and profound ways, reiki can touch a person’s heart and open up space within for healing where it is needed most. Reiki is multidimensional and affects the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of self.
In Japan, where the practice of Reiki originated, the word “reiki” translates loosely to mean a spiritual, loving, and pure energy or life force that exists in the universe. It is an energy that can be accessed very easily through learning reiki for oneself or by receiving a reiki treatment.
The experience of receiving a reiki treatment can be described as a gentle, loving, and warm cradle of support. During a treatment, you can expect to lie on a massage table, fully clothed and cozy with blankets and pillows adjusted for your comfort. A treatment involves gentle touch - the practitioner’s hands on or slightly above the body - which bring the whole self into balance and alignment. Reiki treatments can activate self-healing by empowering you to recognize and engage your own inner resources and strength. Reiki is an integrative therapy and it can be used without contraindication for anyone, regardless of where in your healing journey you are, regardless of what other conventional or holistic modalities you are working with. Whether you are someone getting treatment for a chronic illness, someone feeling burnt out from work or life, or someone seeking spiritual growth, reiki supports you in a loving and gentle way.
